The Red Barn Institute services include coaching and consulting for individuals and organizational groups and teams. We also offer in-depth programs for leadership development, including Women’s Leadership Circle and Knowing Our Place. Using our minds, our hearts, and our hands, we restore the balance between ourselves, others and the earth through the integration of organization development and environmental stewardship paired with spiritual awareness.
Leadership Development: Most clients who seek Julie’s help in leadership development have found themselves in a career position in which their perceived definition of leadership feels incongruous to their natural state of being. Julie works with these clients to discover their own style of leadership, and how to implement it effectively.
Life Skills: Life skills’ coaching is for clients who would like to better develop their ability to accept life on life’s terms. Skills worked on include listening, giving and receiving feedback, decision-making, and relating to others.
Career: As a certified Rockport Institute Career Coach, Julie uses a combination of aptitude testing, personality assessment, and the structured Rockport method to guides clients through the process of discovering a career choice that matches passions, aptitudes, and personality.
Women’s Leadership Circle at the Red Barn Institute is a gathering place for women who are seeking to heal the planet and our society by finding our own unique voice and power in the supportive company of other women. Using our minds, our hearts, and our hands, we discover our own unique brilliance and how we want to share that with the world.
Knowing Our Place is a place-based, leadership development workshop. Learning about one’s geographic place and what it needs to be healthy and thrive, participants use those lessons and apply them to their own situations, in order to create healthy and thriving individuals, groups, and organizations.
Organization Development: Using natural systems as metaphors for organizations, Julie offers facilitation, group development, conflict resolution, improved communication, and organizational diagnosis and change services. Adept at interacting with a wide variety of people, Julie’s success is built on a foundation of listening for understanding first, synthesizing various points of view, and working with people to create new opportunities. Throughout her work, she incorporates organization development theory and best practices, including tools such as the MBTI®, Non-Violent Communication, and adult learning theory.
